It’s a hot November. Today in the vineyard – 28 degrees and still as a millpond. Maybe it’s going to be a long, hot Wairarapa summer. You never know though, that wind could still get up and blow us all to who-knows-where?
The growth on the grapes is phenomenal, and they’re flowering nicely. The vineyard looks a picture. We have our annual Christmas party for locals on Sunday 12th. Sadly, due to the heat, the garden’s peaked too early. The lavender’s on the wane, the roses are past their first blush, and the sage bushes have already gone to seed.
Never mind, there is still prettiness around, and people come for a good time anyway.
